He earned a degree in Oenology whilst he worked at Peter Lehmann's in 2002, Yalumba in 2006 and Two Hands in 2007. Josh was then offered the role of Assistant Winemaker at Two hands in 2008, before accepting a role at Henschke in 2009, where Josh spent five years on the winemaking team. This is also where he grew to love organics and biodynamics, and with one of Australia’s most famous wineries, no doubt. In 2013, Josh moved back and took over his family's winery, Whistler, growing and making the wines for 7 years before cracking out on his own. His partner, Ellen, manages most of the sales and marketing, as well as being a key part of the scientific process - she worked all over in wine labs for many years.
