Babass (aka Sebastien Dervieux) makes wine from his 2.4 hectares of of vines in Chanzeaux in the Maine-et-Loire. His wines have been sulphur-free since '03! This 2020 Grolleau features wholecluster organic fruit, wild fermented, pressed, racked and bottled without fining, filtering or preservatives. This is liquid purity, with a savage edge yet supple heart. It's bright, crisp, dark-fruited and honest, with a subtle medicinal streak. A straight-to-the-point, no f*cks given wine that'll make you groll 'n roll.
