San Andres Mezcal
Alipus San Andres is crafted with maguey Espadin and Bicuishe grown in shale on a high rolling plateau at about 5000 feet. Mezcalero Don Baltazar ferments the cooked agave in 1500L pine vats, then distills in copper. This rich, full-bodied mezcal gives notes of caramel, roasted maguey, citrus, spices and herbs. Herbal and mineral, with light, rugged feels. Fresh acidity with medium lingering flavour. A little heat and a lot of heart. This is a sipping mezcal best enjoyed slowly and with friends.
