Agori 2021 Red
A blend of red grape varieties, co-fermented, rested over Winter and bottled in Spring. Now it’s had a rest, it’s ready for Summer! And what a Summer bod it’s got. Slippery little guy with fresh watermelon and candy apple, rippling with raspberries and sour lollies. Travis Tausend is as much a winemaker as he is an artist. He feels very intrinsically tied to the land and thus the things he produces from it. There is an immense gratitude behind each wine and it is plain to see an evolution in the process he creates them. Year by year he understands the history, flow and cultural resonance of the land better and ultimately, understands himself better. He sources his fruit from vineyards in the Southern tip of the Adelaide Hills, Hope Forest, where it is grown with the help of his friend and farmer, Steve. The original carers and traditional owners of this land are the Peramangk people. It’s one of the coolest microclimates in the hills, with decent air flow, making for fresh, healthy, vibrant fruit.
