Quinine, a traditional cure for malaria, could be used to prevent the disease, so quinine was drunk in tonic water – but the bitter taste was yuck. So, British officers in India started adding a mixture of water, sugar, lime and gin to the quinine to make it more palatable, and thus the G+T was born.

It's a chameleon cocktail – perfect for any occasion. After a long day, to start a long day, as an aperitif or as a digestive. We suggest one part gin to two parts tonic, lots of ice and lime wheel topper. Aaaaaaah.
