Handcrafted in Melbourne, this unique dry gin features fresh cut, hand harvested kikuyu grass (Pennisetum clandestinum) macerated for three days in a juniper-heavy blend. The grass – between 10-17cm – is rushed to the production line after 5 hours of being picked stem by stem. Literally; stem by stem. By hand. Yep.
It has a double juniper backbone, with soft glimmers of coriander seed, orris root, angelica root and dehydrated orange peel. The kikuyu grass creates a luscious and buttery finish on the palate. Ideal for sipping neat, or in a three-to-one ratio of tonic and gin, garnished with a slice of pink grapefruit or a sprig of rosemary. It also works well with fresh apple juice, a splash of simple syrup and a squeeze of lime. Or however you like.
