El Jolgorio Espadin mezcal was crafted by mezcalero Ignacio Parada in Santa Maria Zoquitlan, Oaxaca, Mexico. It's 100% semi-wild Agave Espadín, double-distilled and aged in glass containers for seven years before bottling. El Jolgorio Espadin mezcal was crafted by mezcalero Ignacio Parada in Santa Maria Zoquitlan, Oaxaca, Mexico. It's 100% semi-wild Agave Espadín, double-distilled and aged in glass containers for seven years before bottling. The Cortés family work with a collective of sixteen top maestro mezcaleros from different indigenous Zapotec villages across Oaxaca. El Jolgorio mezcals are crafted with different species of wild, semi-wild, and cultivated agave, traditionally pit-roasted, mule-drawn tahona-crushed, open fermented and twice-distilled in copper pot stills. Every bottle is hand-inscribed with the species of agave, the age of harvest, the village of production, the name of the Master Distiller, and the batch/lot number to connect the drinker with the family behind the expression.
