Fallow Wines grew from a love of making things. It started with baking sourdough, making home brew and cured meats. From a barrel of Pinot made in the family shed, Spike of Fallow wines has slowly but surely expanded his horizons, olive oil, cider and of course, wine. They organically farm just over a hectare of grapes in the Yarra Valley and work closely with select growers for our other wines. Working with a belief that good wine is grown in the vineyard we simply guide the fruit in the winery with as minimal intervention as possible, aiming to make esoteric expressions.
This piquette, a low alcohol, harvest style of wine is Cab/Riesling/Gewürz. Soaked a week, blended and rested for 12-weeks. Delicious and refreshing fizz. Fun to bring to the park, or if you’re not feeling heavy drinking.
