2020 Hey GG
A Grolleau Gris clocking in at a crazy 10% abv, whoa! Perfect daytime wine. What a total fruit bomb, with the full spectrum of strawberry and raspberry, oodles of freshness and a zippy acidic finish. More balanced than a pendulum.
After learning with Olivier Cousin and Eric Dubois, François bought his own place near Saumur and started to make singular natural wines in huge cathedral-like troglodyte cellars. These caves are ideal for vinifying because of the natural temperature control and humidity. François works the vineyards with horses. In the cellar he uses old barrels, fibreglass tanks and the hundred year-old press that was there when he bought the place.
